British International University is a regional teaching hub of the University of London. BIU offers face-to-face tuition support for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and programmes which are then subsequently awarded by the University of London. In the UK, for a higher education award to be recognised, it must be governed by a government-appointed regulatory body.
The University of London is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS), the higher education regulator in England. The University of London must comply with their ongoing conditions of registration which can be found in the regulatory framework for higher education in England.

British International University’s Medical Pathway is awarded by the University of Surrey. BIU works actively with UK higher education bodies to bring further opportunities to the region as part of our mission to broaden access to higher education.
Within the KRI, British International University is acknowledged by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Kurdistan Regional Government as a site of higher education and learning offering international awards.
